Labor Day Weekend Giveaway!

Keep on those scrappin' goals!

It's a big weekend--an extra long one for many people! That means relaxing, vacationing, taking more pics, and FUN! For some of us it also means getting the yard work in shape, clearing out a bin or two in the garage or workroom or having a garage sale! Whatever your plans are for the weekend, enjoy the process!

You could win a prize package!!!

ScrappersChallenge (meaning me) is giving away a prize this weekend! Some of it (stamps) are thanks to other generous Challengers and some of it (fibers) are from my friend Sue P. The rest is from me, yours truly. We want YOU to leave a comment here below about what you are up to this weekend --and how you plan to tackle all the remaining 2010 items on your scrapping TO DO list??? Also, why not subscribe to the Feed from this blog (in the column to the upper right) so you follow the posts? Then, you won't miss anything new!

What am I up to this weekend? Yard work, getting some of my stuff ready for a scrapbooking garage sale, and working on finishing a travel album about Germany for my DD. I also made a LONG honey-do list for hubby. After all, this week is our 31st anniversary --and he asked! Sometimes the best gift is peace of mind and just getting things DONE that are on your list!

Happy Labor Day Weekend! Be safe, have fun, and be productive too! :)

Happy Anniversary, Rock! Sounds like you (and dh) will be busy this weekend. I'm working double shifts 3 out of the 4 days, so I won't be getting much done! However, vacation is only a few weeks away and I have plans to work on a few mini albums then! Have a great holiday weekend!

I wish I could go to your garage sale! My husband's working all weekend, so nothing big planned. Both kids are sick. I'm hoping to take the kids to get some school clothes.

I'm in a group where our goal for Sept is a layout a day. There is also a weekend online crop this weekend. Between the two, I'm hoping to get a lot done today and get closer to my yearly scrapbooking goal.

Happy Anniversary Rock! Hope you and hubby are also planning to do something outside the house as well.

Housework and Scrapping are on the schedule.

We will be having a group of High School kids from our church on Sunday afternoon.

Monday will be our doing nothing but relax day! So that means more SCRAPPING and organizing.

Have a wonderful weekend Rock, no matter what you and hubby do!
Happy Anniversary again!
Happy Anniversary Rock!!
I have a lot I need to get done this weekend. I have a few more school supplies to get for my daughter before school starts next week. We also have our block party this weekend, and so I need to get my house in order also. I have a couple of layouts I'd really like to get done, but don't know if I'll have time for them.

I've been working today on my UM stamps, read about putting a layer of zig adhesive on the back... it's working great and I will be saving alot of space since I am also converting my old wood stamps too!
Thanks for all your inspirations!

Hope you have a great anniversary this weekend Rock! My daughter is in a contest tonight, and if she wins she gets to ride in the Labor Day parade on Sunday. I also work Saturday and Monday at my part time job, and might get to go visit an old friend who is in Illinois visiting from Michigan. If that happens, I get to meet her new baby girl for the first time! If I have time in between, I plan to work more on getting my scraproom organized and clean!

Happy Anniversary

As everyone around here has been traveling so much, I am looking forward to a nice, quiet weekend, or at least one where we don't travel too far.

If time, plans are to finish some cleaning of the basement (down to a 6'x6' area where everything no one knows what to do with has been located) Finish sorting through books while moving to new bookshelves. Animals to sort, freezer meals to make, school plans to finish, door to repair, scrapping to do (pics come today, I hope), and whatever else fits into our schedule. Oh yes - can't forget the trip to goodwill to drop off all the items we are removing from the house.

Happy Anniversary!! (Must be the month to get married, mine is the 24th)... I have been working on putting together page kits for a couple upcoming retreats. I am going to try your idea to work with embellishments first then paper, sometimes it just gets a little overwhelming and it shouldn't scrapbooking should be FUN!! My goal is to get more of my supplies organized and projects completed. Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe weekend.

Happy Anniversary. My plans for the long weekend are to reorganize my entire scrap room due to moving. It stinks to start all over again, but I am excited to go through all of my things. It will give me a chance to get rid of extras and see what I need to stock up on. Happy Weekend to everyone!

I will be vacationing all weekend, but I'm going to use some of the time to reevaluate my goals, projects etc. I just got a great new planner that I can take with me anywhere because it's small and compact, but is ringed so I can move pages around. In addition, I already have 2 weekend get-aways planned to work at getting my daughter's school album done by next spring! Joan

Happiest of Anniversaries Rock! We're putting our garden and flowers to bed this weekend. We've hit a very cold spell of 45 at nite and it seems Jack Frost is right around the corner. But in the evenings I'm finishing my Christmas 12x12 calendars I give out every year! Nice to have them done early. Have a great weekend! Hugs!

Happy Anniversary. What am I doing this weekend? Craft Space reorg, sorting and purging all through the house, general cleaning since it's a long weekend. I might get caught up on some of the things on my list that have been there a long while. LOL. As for finishing 2010 scrapping goals, well, once my craft space is reorged, I might be able to finally get back to scrapping on a regular basis. That was one of my biggest goals this year. Yay!

I hope you guys have a great labor day holiday and happy anniversary. This weekend I am traveling to Louisiana to see family I have not seen all summer. So I guess that is a labor of love. To get to my 2010 scrapping goals: since I have organized my page swaps by themes, I realize that I need to get pictures printed from my digital camera, so I will be looking for an organized way to tackle that several years of pictures.

I will be having a scrappers garage sale in two weeks. I am sorting my stash and pricing as I go.
For the balance of 2010, I will use my surefire scheduling system. I use a blank calendar and write in tasks for given days. I never write in the whole project; I may not have time to do it all.
I break the project up into measurable tasks, and put one on a specific day two or three times per week. If I accomplish more - that's great! But if I cannot get it done, I still have room on my calendar to reschedule.
If you are true to yourself, you can move mountains with this method :O)

I'm going to a six hour crop tonight, then preparing for a three day cropping retreat at the end of the month. In between the fun scrapbook things, I guess dh and I will try to clean out the garage and my scrapbook room on Monday. Happy anniversary!

HI
I am shooting a wedding on Saturday, which will result in me missing my 2 boys first soccer game ever! BUt can't miss out out on a paying gig. Sunday our local church has a BIG firework celebration and my sister lives very close by and we can fireworks from her house. We have a picnic planned for family and friends, checkers, badminton, play with 2 kittens and 2 horses. It will be like back in the old days at Gramma's house. Monday no school and everyone is off work and we are just going to chill!

I'm going to take my sweetie to a lake so he can swing into it from a rope swing with our friends (he's the physical type). I'm pregnant, so I'll just watch. I also have lots of chores to get done and some phone calls to make. We might go to a park, too, so he can teach me to juggle (which is surprisingly cardiovascular, but I always forget it is until I'm done doing it and realize I'm tired...nice 'cause I'm sure I'm allergic to exercise for the sake of exercise). We also need a lot of rest. We've had a really busy summer. I need to finish moving the stuff we have moved already into our house, and then I need to re-set up my scrapbooking stuff at my scrapbooking desk. I have a lot of it to enjoy before I have our baby in December and there's a lot to work on. I also just became a Mary Kay consultant because I love parties of all kinds and this would be an excuse to have girly parties with my friends and their friends. Also, I'm finally going to have makeup in shades fit for people who don't look just like myself, so I can learn to do really good makeup on different kinds of faces and go to fun business meetings, so I have to read and research a lot this weekend before next week's meeting. Oh, and I'm looking forward to sitting through my first full church session since before I was pregnant (I've been sick all summer, but got better when I moved back home from my hubby's internship in another state). Oh, and I also need to paint my new car key at least at the top with nail polish and some stick-on gems from my crafting gear (they don't make pretty custom keys for our car, so I have to do it myself).

Um, also one more thing: I need to work out a consistent schedule so I can start getting things done that I haven't made time for in a long time (like scrapbooking and learning new songs to sing).

PAINTING! Would LOVE to be scraping or doing something fun, but we're painting our Living Room, Dining Room and Hallway. It needs it since it hasn't been painted for 13 years. Ran out of time during the summer, so I'm determined to get it done this weekend. Then I'll have time to scrap! Have a Great Weekend!

Getting to a 'stopping' point in my daughter's album (she's now 7 and I'm up to 5 1/2, LOL). Then get back to work on christmas gifts to be made. Start working on cards for 2011 and have them ready to go (birthday, anniversary's and 'thinking of you' plus thank you and kid friendly fun ones). Always a project to be addressed, but there's always time too.

Enjoy the long weekend!

Now that the weekend's over I finally had time to catch up on my e-mail and blog friends. I would have LOVED to catch your garage sale! My weekend went very quickly, most of it was spent working on cards and embellishments for my Etsy shop and making one more attempt to straighten up my craft room. Happy Labor Day everyone!
